Long-Term Engineering Partner to a Counter-UAS Provider

L39 Tech has worked with a UK-based counter-drone technology company since May 2023, providing custom firmware, control electronics and software development for systems used by military and law enforcement customers.

The relationship began as a small prototyping engagement for a single component. As that early work proved out, it expanded into full firmware development, custom software and third-party system integration — growth driven by the client's confidence in the quality and reliability of the work, rather than by a scope defined up front. L39 has since become one of the client's primary engineering contractors.

The engagement now covers the full technical stack: embedded firmware, custom control electronics and application software, together with the integration work connecting the client's systems to third-party platforms. Because it sits in a defence and law-enforcement context, development follows a security-first approach from the ground up rather than as an add-on.

Consumer Products Prototyping

AME Group — Rapid Prototyping Across a Product Range

L39 Tech has worked with AME Group, a product development company, for over a year — providing proof-of-concept and prototyping support across a wide range of consumer products, from a misting fruit bowl to a sound-embedded yoga mat.

Each project has called for a different mix of skills — embedded electronics, sensor integration, custom PCB work and software — applied to genuinely different product categories. Rather than one repeatable build, the value is in standing up a working proof-of-concept quickly for whatever the next idea turns out to be.

Several of those prototypes have progressed well beyond proof-of-concept: one product is now launching, another has moved into overseas manufacturing ahead of its own launch, and a third remains in active development.
